Fairsquared have more than a passing interest in our environment which is in part born out of a love for the late great Marvin Gaye
On the track Mercy Mercy Me – he sang
“Where did all the blue skies go?
Poison is the wind that blows from the north and south and east
Woo mercy, mercy me, mercy father
Ah things ain't what they used to be, no no
Oil wasted on the ocean and upon our seas, fish full of mercury.”
The Irony is that written in 1971 yet the same issues still resonate today... BP in the Gulf of Mexico 2010 .
We take inspiration and pay homage to a number of organisations that are fighting on our behalf to tackle climate change, and in particular taking the large corporates to task .
The Song asks the following question
“What about this overcrowded land
How much more abuse from man can she stand?”
At Fairsquared our commitment and small contribution to a major global problem is to ensure the following :
We will minimise the use of packaging in everything we do.
We will use recycled materials and ensure our product containers are recyclable or bio degradable.
All of our products will be sourced with care and concern for the people and the environment used to grow and manufacture our products.
Our ingredients will never be tested on animals
We will not purchase from unsustainable sources .
Airfreight will not be used to bring goods in faster.
Our products will be transported to customers from our Central UK location direct from us – cutting out uneccessary transportation.
Natural , Fair trade and Organic is all we aim to do .
Our site will be constantly updated with news articles and blogs concerning the environment and we will support through donation and campaigning the groups that we believe in.
Those organisations that continue to ignore their responsibiliites and hide behind corporate greenwash programmes will of course be held to account – you have been warned.
Doing just enough is not in our Nature !
Outrageously Ethical
